'Some structure and order arrived at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week with a concise and singular vision from Jade Sarita Arnott, designing for Arnsdorf.
Sheer apricot shirts tucked into high-waisted, yet generously cut denim shorts, high-waisted pants and loose singlets spoke of summer mornings rather than summer nights. The silhouettes united in cute jumpsuits and a one-sleeved playsuit that was trying to have its cake and eat it too, and like all things sweet almost got away with it. Experimentations with cut-offs showed a sense of adventure but disappeared into the wild.
Arnott's fixation with ice-skaters was another interesting inspiration with sheer nude dresses with floating colours perfect for a triple toe loop or double axle but all was forgiven with the sight of a buttery bone leather dress towards the end of the show.
