Antipodium

Antipodium

With its roots firmly set in Australia, cult womenswear label Antipodium began to stem across the ocean in England back in 2006. A long distance collaboration between London-based Australian ex-pats Geoffrey J. Finch (Creative Director) and Ashe Peacock (Founder) and her Fremantle-based sister Fenella, has resulted in a brand that fuses irreverent humour with subverted classicism, unexpected contrasts and confident simplicity.

Antipodium's first incarnation was conceived in 2003 by Finch and Peacock as a London-based retail store, PR and wholesale agency for antipodean fashion brands, including Alice McCall, Karen Walker and Gail Sorronda. It was then that the duo noticed some gaps in the racks between the existing collections. They called upon Ashe's sister Fenella, the woman behind successful 1980s label Empire Line, to marry their concepts with her vast experience and create a capsule offering for the store.
