Maurie and Eve were one of those dream couples that you only read about. On a scorching summer day, some time in the roaring forties, a gorgeous model struggles with the wild waves crashing off Bronte Beach. From the shore, a bronzed lifeguard spots the distressed damsel and dashes across the sand, dives in, and swims out to save her.
He takes her in his arms and together they make it safely back to shore. This is Maurie and Eve. Side by side they live their lives together, marry, have children and grandchildren. And side by side, they passed together.
Eve had a classic Singer sewing machine, and when she passed away, it was left to her darling granddaughter, Kelly. Inspired by the lives of her wonderful grandparents, Kelly began designing clothes for friends and family.
Soon requests were rolling in and the pleasure became a business. Kelly's brother Scott, and his girlfriend Maya joined in the effort and with the trio together, Maurie & Eve was born. The collection has grown into a wonderfully feminine aesthetic with a formidable sexy edge. Eve's classic 1940's beauty filters through each collection. |
